FINAL PODIUM PUSH FOR PIERRE RAGUES AND SIGNATECH ALPINE MATMUT Photo News
Pierre Ragues has completed his third phase behind the wheel of the Alpine A470, as the Signatech Alpine Matmut team hold an overall podium position in third, and second place in LMP2, after another dramatic twist in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

His most recent triple stint on Sunday morning allowed him to make the most of misfortune ahead, to move up into third overall and second in LMP2.

It’s an unusual situation that sees an LMP2 currently lead Le Mans with the recovering LMP1 Porsche just ahead of Ragues and his teammates Nelson Panciatici and André Negrão.

Pierre handed over to Negrão with two and a half hours remaining.

Pierre said: “A fantastic triple stint for me this morning, and we find ourselves in a strong position. We need to be cautious and focused because we have seen others experience issues. There is still a long way to go in this race, and we know how cruel and unexpected Le Mans can be.”
