PIERRE RAGUES ENJOYS SUNNY DRIVERS’ PARADE IN LE MANS Photo News
It’s the calm before the storm, the final evening to soak up the atmosphere before the big event. Pierre and his teammates Nelson and André took to the streets of Le Mans on Friday evening to take part in the traditional drivers’ parade.

Under blue and sunny skies, the anticipation for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 85th edition of the classic endurance event, was just as hot as the temperature.

The Signatech Alpine Matmut crew swapped the cockpit of their Alpine A470 for something a bit more traditional as they signed autographs and gave goodies away to the thousands of fans who flocked to see this year’s drivers up close.

For Pierre, this was the 11th time of being part of the tradition, but it’s something that is always appreciated.

He said: “Even after days of preparation and build-up, hours of practice and qualifying on the track, the drivers’ parade is really what sums up what Le Mans 24 Hours. It’s about the fans, and this is one of our chances to give something back. The parade is always fun, but even better in the sun and with such passionate supporters. Together with Nelson and Andre, and the other crews making up this year’s Le Mans grid, we enjoyed the atmosphere this evening. Once the morning warm-up is done, our full focus will be on the Le Mans 24 Hours – and fighting for the podium in front of all these wonderful fans. I hope to contribute to an exciting race for them all.”
