Pierre Ragues is taking part in the 59th running of Rallye d’Automne at La Rochelle this weekend, as he squeezes in a rally competition between the final two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

 

Pierre will drive the new Skoda Fabia R5 for the first time this weekend, alongside local co-driver Julien Pesenti. The event is part of the second division French Rally Championship.  

 

Pierre has developed a versatile driving campaign this season as he perfectly blends his rallying activities with his FIA WEC programme. Having returned from the 6 Hours of Shanghai, and ahead of the season final in Bahrain in a few weeks’ time, Pierre will reignite his passion for rallying in La Rochelle with the usual support from his partners GroupAuto, Sparco and Ellip6.

 

The rally will take in ten special stages over a total distance of 169.29km from Friday to Sunday. 

 

Pierre said: “It’s always a joy to have the chance to compete in a rally event away from my WEC commitments, and I am looking forward to the La Rochelle rally. I get the chance to taste the new Skoda Fabia R5 for the first time and to benefit from the local knowledge of my co-driver Julien. I am grateful to my partners GroupAuto, Sparco and Ellip6 for the chance to keep my driving skills sharp as we approach the concluding events of the 2015 season. It promises to be a great weekend!”
