Moving on from his recent return to the world of rallying, French ace Pierre Ragues will join a World Endurance Championship test at the Nürburgring in Germany next week.

The 5.148km track will host the next round of the popular WEC series next month, so the two-day test on Monday and Tuesday will offer teams and drivers a useful opportunity to prepare.

The 6 Hours of Nürburgring joins the WEC schedule for the first time this season, which means track time next week will allow Team SARD Morand to evaluate its #43 Morgan Evo SARD and to establish a baseline setting ahead of the race week.

Pierre and the team will look to build on the strong performance shown at their debut event of the 2015 season at Spa, in which they finished on the podium in LMP2.

Six LMP2 cars will line up at the test next week, as part of an overall entry of 20 cars at the famous German track.

Pierre said: “Next week’s test will be a great opportunity for us to regroup properly for the first time since the Le Mans 24 Hours. We will be able to put the car through its paces around the Nürburgring for the first time, and to begin our preparations for the 6-hour race in August. In our first race of the year, at Spa, we showed we were capable of podium performances, so this test will be the start of our aims to return to the top three in LMP2 when WEC returns next month.”
