PIERRE RAGUES RESUMES RUNNING WITH G-DRIVE BY SIGNATECH-NISSAN COMPETING FOR LMP2 PODIUM Photo News

Pierre Ragues has resumed control of the G-Drive by Signatech-Nissan Oreca 03 as the 24 Hours of Le Mans continues into the night.

Following a collision between an LMP1 car and a slower car earlier in the session, the safety car was deployed for precisely one hour as repairs were made to the safety barrier. That delay to proceedings meant that G-Drive by Signatech –Nissan could prolong the stints for Roman Rusinov and Nelson Panciatici, both of whom performed well to ensure the #26 car is still in contention for an LMP2 podium place.

As Pierre took over the cockpit of the Nissan-powered Oreca 03 as the race entered Sunday morning, he said: “The safety car period has obviously affected our strategy but our thoughts are with those teams and drivers involved. We have been able to maximise the potential that we showed during my first stints earlier in the evening and to resume our chase for the podium places. My next stint will see us run into the early hours of Sunday and our aim is to continue with a reliable and competitive pace with the LMP2 podium now our target.”
