TONY KART ACES TRAIN WITH QUADRA SPORTS FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR Photo NewsThe Quadra Sports training course for Tony Kart’s young stars has taken place once more in Italy for the seventh consecutive year, involving 14 of the biggest talents in karting.

The course took place as always near Tony Kart's headquarters in Prevalle, and involved members of the official Tony Kart factory team and its satellite team, Kosmic, who had just returned from the Karting Winter Cup in Lonato.

The prestigious race was won by Tony Kart driver Rick Dreezen from Belgium, who also attended the Quadra Sports course for the second year in a row.

The Quadra Sports preparation course took in gym work and media exercises, as well as seminars on race craft and sportsmanship.

As expected from a team of the international calibre of Tony Kart, the drivers came from a wide variety of different backgrounds and nationalities, led again by two-time World Champion Marco Ardigo. The full list of drivers attending was: Marco Ardigo (I), Flavio Camponeschi (I), Luca Corberi (I), Andy Chang (CN), Ignazio D'Agosto (I), Rick Dreezen (B), Damiano Fioravanti (I), Carlos Gil (E), Tzdenek Groman (CZ), Tereza Gromanova (CZ), Paolo Ippolito (I), Federico Panetta (RA), Alessio Piccini (I), Armand Philo (ID).

The Quadra Sports put all 14 drivers through their paces both inside the gym and out of it over three intensive residential days. The work covered took in fitness exercises and assessments, together with classes in PR, marketing, and media skills. Although some of the drivers had attended the Quadra Sports course before, they all drew plenty of benefit from a mixture of taught theory and practical workshops, including interview role-play.

Two-time karting World Champion Marco Ardigo said: “Winning is all about having the right preparation as well as pure talent, and training courses such as this one helps you put all the elements in place in order to maximise your performance on the track.”

Rick Dreezen, the winner of the Winter Cup, said: “It was a great pleasure to return to the Quadra Sports training course, particularly on the back of this latest success. Once more I was able to put several of the lessons learned into practice, and I would recommend the course to any karter who would like to improve their skills in every area.”

Ange Pasquali, the founder and managing director of Quadra Sports, commented: “We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Tony Kart and we were delighted to once more welcome these champions of the future for three days of intensive training. I can see the difference that this course can make to the drivers, both in terms of awareness of fitness and mental approach, and I am hoping that they will all make the most of this experience to help them achieve even greater success in the future.”
