PIERRE CAMPANA SET FOR MONT BLANC RALLY WITH DRIVE-PRO Photo NewsFresh from his debut World Rally Championship participation with Drive-Pro at last weekend’s ADAC Rallye Deutschland in which he finished in a highly respectable 18th position, Pierre Campana is set to take part in the 63rd Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine next week.

In what will be his third competitive rally in total with the Drive-Pro team and driving the MINI John Cooper Works WRC, Pierre will contest the 12 stage rally, part of the French Rally Championship, with his long-term co-driver Sabrina de Castelli, looking to continue his acquaintance with the MINI.

This latest event comes in addition to the programme already confirmed for Pierre that saw him take part in Rallye Deutschland and which will see him compete in a second WRC event in late September at Rallye de France-Alsace.

Pierre has embarked on a positive learning curve with Drive-Pro and with the MINI since his first competitive event earlier this month at the Richard Burns Memorial Rally in the UK, which Pierre won against more experienced participants.

The 26-year-old Corsican set about a deliberately careful approach to Rallye Deutschland, learning each of the new stages before making incremental improvements on the repeat loop, gaining a tremendous amount of information and experience from within the car and working with the team.

Pierre Campana said:
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to take part in Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine next week and to continue building up my experience with the MINI. I had a good weekend in Germany and was able to take away a lot of positives from the event, which I believe have made me stronger in every aspect of driving this competitive car. Experience is the most important thing for me through this process and for that reason I am glad to have the chance to join another competitive rally so soon after Germany. I look forward to working again with the Drive-Pro team and building on what we have achieved so far. All of this will be very valuable experience as we prepare for Rallye de France-Alsace in just over a month from now.”
