PIERRE RAGUES ANNOUNCES ELMS CAMPAIGN WITH DUQUEINE ENGINEERING Photo News
French racer Pierre Ragues will join the highly regarded Duqueine Engineering squad for a full season campaign in the forthcoming 2018 European Le Mans Series.

Ragues, who was crowned ELMS champion back in 2013, will drive an LMP2 Oreca 07 equipped with Michelin tyres as he embarks on a new challenge for the coming season.

The Caen-born ace has become a trusted pair of hands in endurance racing over many years, and will use his vast experience to support Duqueine Engineering as they step up to LMP2 in the six-round ELMS season.

Driving alongside former teammate Nelson Panciatici, as well as Nicolas Jamin, Pierre will get his first taste of action in the Oreca 07 at the Prologue on 9-10 April ahead of the season-opening race later in the week.

The 4 Hours of Le Castellet will get the 2018 championship underway on 15 April at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France. The season then moves onto Monza in May, Austria (Red Bull Ring) in July, Silverstone in August, Spa in September and concludes at Portimão in Portugal in October.

Pierre will benefit once again from the support of his portfolio of personal partners, including GroupAuto, Yacco, Sparco and Ellip6.

Pierre commented: “I am absolutely delighted to join the Duqueine Engineering team and proud to announce my return to the ELMS championship. It is a series I am particularly fond of, and I can’t help but think of the title I won in 2013 alongside Nelson. Teaming up again with him, as well as Nicolas Jamin, gives me a lot of motivation. This new challenge excites me greatly. Duqueine Engineering has demonstrated its professionalism and competitiveness in the past seasons, so I can’t wait to get started at the Prologue at Paul Ricard. I am very grateful to my faithful partners Yacco, GroupAuto, Sparco and Ellip6, with whom I have enjoyed some very special motorsport memories. Here’s to more in 2018!”
