French driver Pierre Ragues will be aiming to extend his strong rally form this weekend as he competes in the ninth running of the Rallye National de Lisieux.

Ragues will return to the cockpit of a Skoda Fabia R5 with co-driver Julien Pesenti just weeks after he triumphed with outright victory in the Saint-Germain-la-Campagne.

The Lisieux event is also part of the Coupe de France des Rallyes and will be another competitive rally with over 70 participants confirmed.

The rally itself takes place over two days, with the opening leg on Saturday consisting of 62.9km over five special stages, and Sunday’s schedule covering 59.4km over six timed runs.

Pierre will be looking to fight at the front across all eleven stages and to secure another strong result this season. In addition to victory at Saint-Germain-la-Campagne, he also won at Rallye de Mézidon-Canon back in May.

Pierre said: “It’s nice to be back rallying so soon after our victory at Saint-Germain. That was an enjoyable event, in which we were able to set the quickest stage times consistently. I am hopeful to be able to do the same at Lisieux. As part of the Coupe de France des Rallyes, it will be another tough event with lots of competition, and that is a challenge I relish! I am looking forward to partnering with Julien in the fantastic Skoda Fabia R5, once again with the support of my partners GroupAuto, Top Garage, Ellip6 and Sparco. Another win would be incredible, but we know that anything can happen in rallying, so we have to keep focused.”
