PIERRE RAGUES MAKES RALLY RETURN IN SAINT-GERMAIN-LA-CAMPAGNE Photo News
Pierre Ragues will return to the cockpit of a Skoda Fabia R5 this weekend, as the Frenchman competes in the eighth running of Rallye de Saint-Germain-la-Campagne, part of the Coupe de France des Rallyes.

Pierre will be reunited with co-driver Julien Pesenti for the pair’s first rally since Rallye de Mézidon-Canon back in May, an event they won overall.

This weekend’s seven-stage rally will allow Pierre the opportunity to get reacquainted with rallying after his recent run of events in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Over 140 competitors will take part in the rally, which will see six special stages held on Sunday following a day of reconnaissance and the official opening stage of the rally on Saturday evening.

In addition to his Mézidon success, the Caen ace has also scored good results at Rallye de la Cote Fleurie earlier this year, and showed a strong performance at Rallye du Touquet Pas de Calais.

Pierre said: “I am looking forward to getting back in the competitive Skoda Fabia R5 at this weekend’s Saint-Germain-La-Campagne rally. I have felt quick and comfortable in the car in all the rallies we, Julien and I, have contested this year. We have had some great results too, so I am confident we can position ourselves at the sharp end once again. It’s been a few months since I last went rallying, so I will ease myself back into the rhythm on Saturday and then see what we can achieve during Sunday’s six stages. Competing against more seasoned drivers is always a privilege, so I take nothing for granted. I am also grateful to my partners – GroupAuto, Top Garage, Sparco, Ellip6 and Yacco for their continued support.”
