PIERRE RAGUES HEADS TO THE U.S.A. FOR NEXT FIA WEC ROUND AT COTA Photo News
Having dominated proceedings at last weekend’s Rallye de Lisieux, Pierre Ragues is now immediately turning his attention back the FIA World Endurance Championship as he moves to America for the 6 Hours of Circuit of The Americas.

Ragues will once again take to the wheel of the #43 Morgan Evo SARD as he lines up alongside Oliver Webb and Archie Hamilton for Team SARD Morand. It will be Pierre’s fourth WEC race of the season after a podium-scoring debut at Spa followed by competitive showings at Le Mans and a fourth place last time out at the Nürburgring.

Circuit of The Americas is one of the newest venues to join the premier endurance schedule and will offer Pierre a new challenge. The Frenchman, who is competing in both endurance and rallying this season – with success in both disciplines – will look to make the most of the potential of the #43 car and its Dunlop tyres against a strong LMP2 field.

The anti-clockwise Circuit of The Americas is made up of twenty corners with impressive facilities and a striking track design, which makes it a popular venue for race drivers and fans alike.

Pierre will benefit again from the support of his personal partners Group Auto and Sparco for this race, which kick starts the second half of the increasingly popular FIA World Endurance Championship.

Pierre commented: “I can’t wait to tackle the fantastic Circuit of The Americas in the Morgan Judd and together with my Team SARD Morand colleagues. It looks to be a sensational track and looks amazing from what I have seen of it so far. To race in the States is always special and particularly in front of motorsport fans who share a real passion for endurance racing. This race is particularly unique and really represents the Le Mans spirit by including both day and night racing. Along with the support of my partner Group Auto and Sparco, as well as the team and our title sponsors Franck Muller, I hope we can show strong pace this weekend and to go at least one place better than we did at the Nürburgring. We have shown our podium potential and COTA would be a wonderful place to celebrate our next one!”
