PIERRE RAGUES DEBUTS NEW HELMET DESIGN AS SCRUTINEERING GETS LM24 WEEK UNDERWAY
Pierre Ragues has unveiled a striking new look for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans with a stunning new yellow helmet, supplied by Sparco and designed by B Design.
As an ambassador for race wear specialists Sparco, Pierre is able to benefit from the company’s cutting edge race suits but also their comfortable and industry leading helmets.
The new design, which features the famous Sparco S on the top and the B Design logo on the front, matches a primary use of yellow but interspersed with warmer red and orange effects.
Pierre will use the helmet for the first time in Free Practice on Wednesday.
The Frenchman, who is taking part in his ninth Le Mans this year, has today been part of the traditional scrutineering session with TEAM SARD Morand at Place de la République.
The #43 Morgan Evo went through the scrutineering this evening at 17.30 with Pierre joined by his team-mates Oliver Webb and Zoel Amberg. The trio made the most of the support from the passionate Le Mans fans, signing autographs and revelling in the atmosphere as the 83rd running of Le Mans gets underway.
Pierre commented: “Firstly, I am thrilled to be here in Le Mans and it was another special feeling taking part in the scrutineering session this evening. The fans are, as always, fantastic and it means the event is properly underway. I am beyond excited! I am pleased to have a new helmet design for this year – my ninth time taking part in this truly incredible event. I am honoured to be an ambassador for Sparco and to wear their helmet, which is the perfect choice for Le Mans where comfort over long periods of time is crucial. Thanks to them and also to B Design for this stunning design, which I am proud to wear at the biggest event of the year – Le Mans!”
