PIERRE RAGUES CONFIRMS REGULAR RALLY PROGRAMME FOR 2015
French racer Pierre Ragues has today announced a detailed rally programme for 2015 in addition to his recently announced FIA World Endurance Championship activities.
The dual rally-endurance season will act as a perfect continuation for Ragues who contested European Le Mans Series and a selection of French Rally Championship rounds with great success in 2014.
For this season, Ragues will take part in at least four rally events with the Racing Service team, starting with the 45th Rallye de la Côte Fleurie towards the end of this month. It will be the second consecutive participation for Ragues in the event, which forms part of the Coupe de France des Rallyes.
Last year’s event was his first ever competitive rally and he adapted quickly to rallying by finishing third and claiming a sensational podium result.
This year’s event will see Ragues take to the wheel of a Michelin-equipped Citroën DS3 R5 with continued backing from his personal sponsors Group Auto and Sparco, as well as support from simulation company Ellip6.
The full programme of rallies in which Ragues will compete in 2015 will be announced in due course.
Pierre Ragues said: “It’s a real honour that I am able to add more rallying to my schedule for 2015 after a very successful and enjoyable debut year. To have the chance to take part in a full FIA WEC season with Team Sard Morand as well as four rallies with Racing Service is a very special. I am grateful to my backers Group Auto, Sparco and Ellip6 and I look forward to the first rally of the season - Rallye de la Côte Fleurie – which holds very special memories after scoring a category podium last year in my first ever competitive rally event. I hope I can build on that this year in the fantastic Citroën DS3 R5. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel in a few weeks’ time.”
