SPARCO VICTORIOUS IN BAHRAIN AS KCMG WIN CLOSE LMP2 BATTLE
The Sparco supported KCMG team took an inspired victory in the LMP2 class in yesterday’s 6 Hours of Bahrain World Endurance race.
It was the second win of the season for the Hong Kong based squad, adding Bahrain victory to its success from Austin back in September.
The team’s trio of drivers, Matt Howson, Richard Bradley and Alexandre Imperatori, drove the #47 to the win in a closely fought field, with Bradley’s fourth hour manoeuvre proving crucial after a race long battle.
Sparco’s presence in the notoriously competitive LMP2 field has allowed the global race wear manufacturer remain actively involved in the World Endurance Championship this season, a series that continues to grow from strength to strength.
The 6 Hours of Bahrain was the seventh round of the season, which has also taken in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the championship concluding later this month in Brazil.
Sparco’s Motorsport Manager Daniela Vignale said: “Congratulations to the entire KCMG team on a wonderful victory in Bahrain yesterday. It is always a pleasure to see our race suits on the top step of the podium – and particularly so after such an exciting race. The FIA World Endurance Championship has once again put on a great spectacle and all of us at Sparco are proud to play a part in its success.”
