PIERRE RAGUES READY TO EMBARK ON DEBUT RALLY ADVENTURE
Reigning European Le Mans Series champion Pierre Ragues will swap stints for stages this weekend as he takes part in the Rallye National de la Côte Fleurie.
For Pierre, this will be his first competitive rally in a numbered vehicle and he will take to the driving seat of a Skoda Fabia S2000 alongside his father Marcel, who will be on co-driving duties for his son.
This year’s event will be the 44th running of the Rallye National de la Côte Fleurie, which takes in four different stages run over ten special stages in total. The two-day event will include a Super Special Stage on Friday evening, held on Lais de Mer at the famous Deauville.
There are a total of 120km of stages over two days with Friday’s 4.7km special stage followed on Saturday by nine further stages. Parc fermé for the rally will be in front of the Casino at Trouville sur Mer.
Pierre commented: “I am looking forward to taking part in my first proper rally event, which will give me a great experience compared to what I am used to in endurance. To have the chance to rally alongside my father in our local region is also very special. We teamed up for the Tour de France Auto Classic in the past two years but this will be a different challenge for us. We are going out to enjoy ourselves, to learn a bit about rallying and to see what we can achieve. It promises to be a fantastic event through some famous parts of the region and I am sure it will be a lot of fun.”
