French endurance ace and European Le Mans Series Champion, Pierre Ragues, has brought his successful 2013 season to an epic conclusion by enjoying a taste of the 1974 Alpine A441 for French TV.

Pierre joined Signatech-Alpine to help the Alpine brand film a feature for TF1 comparing the company’s European Championship winning machines from 1974, the A441, and 2013, Pierre’s ELMS winning car.

The runs took place at the Lurcy Levis circuit with Pierre getting well acquainted with the A441 that won the European championship with Alain Serpaggi nearly forty years ago.

Pierre then attended the ELMS prize giving ceremony last Saturday in which he, along with the Signatech-Alpine team, were honoured for their championship-winning season. Pierre now looks to next season with great anticipation as he hopes to build yet further on this year’s achievements.

Pierre commented: “What a year it has been, but what a great way to bring it to a conclusion. We had the chance to run the classic A441 Alpine car with TF1, along with our 2013 Signatech-Alpine A450, in order to compare the two cars. They were both obviously very different but it was a pleasure to have the chance to drive the A441 around Lurcy Levis. We were then celebrated at the ELMS prize giving last Saturday which brought to reality our achievements from this season, for which I am extremely proud. We have some weeks to reflect before renewing our push for 2014, which I hope will be even better. I would like to wish a happy Christmas and New Year to all those who have supported me and Signatech-Alpine this fantastic year.”
