Thousands of Le Mans fans lined the streets of the town this evening in horrendously wet conditions to cheer on the drivers and teams in the traditional drivers’ parade.

Pierre Ragues joined the G-Drive by Signatech-Nissan team, who line up third on the LMP2 grid for tomorrow afternoon’s race, with his team-mates Nelson Panciatici and Roman Rusinov to take part in the famous pre-race event.

With all off-track activities now complete, things get serious as the 80th running of the prestigious Le Mans event draws closer. Just one final warm-up session is scheduled for tomorrow morning before the race itself gets underway with the traditional starting procedure at 14.22. The race then starts at 15.00.

Pierre said: “In spite of the weather, it has been a fun and relaxing day. Following our positive qualifying result yesterday, it was good to get up close with the fans at the drivers’ parade and to feel the sense of anticipation and excitement that is such an important part of this week. The fans really did us proud considering the rain. We look forward to the final warm-up tomorrow and getting our car ready for the race. I’ve had fun working alongside the G-Drive by Signatech-Nissan team, Nelson and Roman this week, and I’m sure we’ll have a good race.”
