Franck Mailleux has this evening joined all the other competitors for this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours race at the traditional drivers’ parade in town.

Franck, who will start his fourth consecutive Le Mans event tomorrow afternoon, lapped up the attention of the passionate crowd and relished in the atmosphere of this popular part of Le Mans week. Even the heavy rain couldn’t disappoint the thousands of fans who turned up to enjoy the parade.

With all the off-track activities now completed, all that is left is for Franck and Signatech-Nissan to overcome their qualifying position and to fight back for a podium place by Sunday afternoon. The final warm-up takes place in the morning while the race itself gets underway at 14.22 with the traditional start procedure. The race itself starts at 15.00.

Franck said: “The Le Mans crowd need to be given their own podium trophy for braving the wet weather this evening. The drivers’ parade is one of the standout events of Le Mans week even in these weather conditions. There is really no other place like Le Mans with this atmosphere and I can’t wait to start the race tomorrow afternoon. We have a long race ahead and final warm-up tomorrow morning to make sure our car is ready for the start. It’s going to be fun.”
