FRANCK MAILLEUX JOINS SIGNATURE FOR 24 HOUR KART SPECTACULAR
Less than a week after clinching the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup championship title in LMP2, Franck Mailleux and the entire Signatech-Nissan team celebrated in style with their annual 24 Hour kart race.
The event, which included team partners, was held at the Salbris circuit and tested drivers and team-mates to the absolute limit, putting all their experience from 24 Hour racing at Le Mans into practice!
Franck was part of the Total team, finishing second overall with an incredible eight hours of karting under his belt. The event was the perfect occasion for the team to reflect on this amazing LMP2 season so far and their recent championship success. It also allowed them to finesse their own race craft before the ILMC season finale in China next month.
Franck said: “This year’s 24 Hour kart race was really nice and the perfect opportunity to unwind and celebrate our championship success in LMP2 this year. It’s always nice to share such moments as a team and to open up the experience to partners as well, who have also contributed so much. I was with the Total team and we ended the event in second place. I completed almost eight hours of karting, but endurance is what we are good at, so it wasn’t such a challenge! We had a total of 25 teams at the Salbris kart track and we ended up with Soheil, Lucas and Julian Degoutte (a former karting master!), and the final moments of the show were really enjoyable. A great event and happy memories.”
