PIERRE RAGUES MAKES FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR HIS FIFTH LE MANS 24 HOURS RACE Photo NewsPierre Ragues is now counting down the hours to his fifth participation in the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours after completing the final warm-up session around La Sarthe this morning. Pierre took to the track with his OAK Racing team to undertake a complete systems check on their OAK-Pescarolo before the 24 hour race gets underway this afternoon.

Such is the importance of these final preparations that the warm-up session was focussed solely on race preparations rather than chasing lap times, with OAK Racing declaring themselves happy with their car set-up and potential. The team will line up in 11th place on the grid after the three combined qualifying sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

Pierre will be taking the start for OAK Racing as the team aims to make their way into the top ten and to be the top petrol-powered car by Sunday afternoon.

Pierre Ragues said:
“We had a good warm-up this morning and used the opportunity to check all the systems on the OAK-Pescarolo before the race starts this afternoon. The starting procedure is always an exciting moment and we know from yesterday’s drivers’ parade that the fans are as enthusiastic and passionate as ever, so we count on their support once again. We have a few more things to cross off the checklist before we get there but I am completely focussed and ready to fight for the honour of being top petrol car in LMP1 by tomorrow afternoon.”
