French simulation company Ellip6 have unveiled a bold new driving programme with the ultimate goal of identifying and nurturing the French rally stars of tomorrow.

Ellip6, who last year opened a state-of-the-art simulation centre near Avignon in France and are backing rising rally star Pierre Campana in this weekend’s Monte Carlo rally, will embark on an intense selection process to determine its junior rally talent of 2011.

An initial selection process will take place in the middle of February with drivers initially selected based on their initial potential before being invited to a formal selection later in the month. From there, two lucky drivers will be identified to take part in the FFSA supported French Junior Rally Championship at the wheel of a Renault Twingo R1 –all with Ellip6 valuable support. Their entire season will be funded by Ellip6 with a team of instructors on hand to prepare and guide them throughout the season.

The championship will be comprised of six rallies with the eventual winner securing a place in the 2012 French Rally Championship in the cockpit of a Twingo R2.

Over the course of the last nine months, Ellip6 has undergone a vast evolution and established themselves as one of Europe’s most pro-active start-ups. They undertook a one-year partnership with Pierre Campana, which came to a successful conclusion with a class victory in Monte-Carlo last weekend. Just months after the inauguration of their first simulation centre, Ellip6 signed its first partnership franchises with leading French company Bowlingstar, further enhancing their long-term business potential. For Ellip6, this new and exciting junior rally programme is a logical and natural progression in the world of motorsport and sees them take a lead role in discovering the rally talent of the future.

Ellip6 President, Pierre Tantot, said: “Ellip6 is a growing company with a passion for racing and technology – so what better fit for us than rally. As a newly formed company, we feel that our new junior rally programme is the perfect vehicle to progress our rally involvement. We feel that this week’s Rally Monte Carlo, one of the rally highlights of the year, is the ideal occasion to outline our next ambitious plans. There is so much driving talent in France, we want to be protagonists in finding the French rally stars of tomorrow. The selection process for our first junior rally drivers will begin soon and we are fully committed to supporting the two lucky finalists throughout this year’s French Junior Rally Championship. We are a company for the future, supporting the rally stars of the future – all in all, a perfect fit.”

Full details of the Ellip6 junior rally programme will be available in due course, as well as information on the complete structure of this new initiative.
