Pierre Ragues is set to continue his off-season racing activities with participation in this weekend’s Monaco Kart Cup, one of the highlights of the karting season.

Monaco is renowned for hosting the prestigious Formula 1 Grand Prix as well as the world-famous rally, and the Karting Cup has attracted a highly competitive field of racing talent.

The proximity to the F1 race is enhanced by the fact that the circuit used for the Karting Cup uses part of the race track used by the F1 drivers in May, including the Swimming Pool ‘S’ and the Rascasse corner.

For Pierre, who lists karting as one his true passions, the event will be a continuation of his successful racing season that has yielded top results in the Le Mans Series endurance championship, as well as in karting, after he dominated the Ostricourt weekend just a few weeks ago.

Pierre Ragues said: “It is an exciting feeling to be racing at Monaco which is one of the most prestigious venues on any racing calendar. I had a really fantastic weekend at Ostricourt and I hope to continue with another competitive performance at Monaco this weekend. It will be a hugely competitive field, something that I always relish, but I feel in good form so I am ready to give it my best shot.”

Qualifying practice and heats will be held on Saturday 16 October and the morning of Sunday 17. Pre-final and the final will take place on Sunday afternoon.
