Pierre Ragues has claimed another rally podium after taking his Polo R5 to third place overall in Rallye National d’Automne La Rochelle, and second in the R5 class.

 

On another positive weekend for the Frenchman, along with co-driver Julien Pesenti, was involved in another close fight, successfully securing third on the classification just 14.2-seconds behind second place. The outright winner was driving a WRC car. 

 

For Pierre, who was recently crowned FIA R-GT Coupe du Monde Champion, it was another competitive performance in rallying, adding to his podium tally for 2021.  

 

Pierre said: “I am delighted to complete the La Rochelle rally with another podium finish, and to have had a competitive battle in the R5 class. It was a fun event, and a pleasure to drive the Polo R5 again. We were fighting hard, keeping a modest gap to second place – the leading R5 car – while also defending our third place. This has been a great season for me, with the R-GT title and taking part in a lot of exciting events against some incredible talent. With the support of my partners Yacco, First, Sparco, Groupe Polmar and Racing Services, I have been able to add another podium result to my total for this season, and I hope there will be plenty more opportunities in the future.”
